INTENSIVE HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING (IN-HEAT)

A 3-day Intensive HEAT course in hybrid modality (1 day online and 2 days at the outdoor training facilities) designed to enhance participants’ security and safety awareness and enable them to prevent and deal more effectively with risks, challenging situations and security incidents while traveling or working in hostile environments. The course can also be used as a HEAT Refresher for those who have previously participated in a HEAT course and wish to renew their training.

Language: English or Italian
Duration: 3 days (1 day online and 2 days at outdoor training facilities)
Location: Massa (Tuscany) and outdoor training facilities (Tuscany or Emilia Romagna region).
Target: personnel from the private sector, NGOs, journalists, academia, International Organisations and European Institutions.

Pre-condition for participation: valid medical certificate of good health.
Precautionary measures: psychologist and medical unit are present for guaranteeing the safety of participants. All participants are provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Methodology: Participants practice and rehearse different types of scenario-based exercises.
Content: the HEAT training is designed in line with the standard of the ENTRi/ESDC curriculum.
